The Mission Success Story For primary school learners, the support from Minah Academy Mission has made it possible for the learners to stay in school. Classes 1(One) to 6 (Six) are the direct beneficiaries of the OVCs and Child welfare programme. The fund has provided for basic school necessities i.e. school uniforms, School shoes, school bags, and school stationeries, and a monthly food hamper. The pupils live in the mende quarry and Kamara town, and Calabatown communities in the Western urban area, Freetown. Most of those children where abandoned for many years without going to school. Although the communities have electricity, water and sanitation, it is too small for the large population and is negatively affecting the children’s health which has been very unstable. They currently were being treated at the local clinic.
